Why is my candle wick producing black soot?

Black soot may appear if any of the following has occurred:

• The candle was burned for longer than the recommended maximum of 4 hours at a time

• The wick was not trimmed to 1/4 inch before burning

• Debris, dust, or dirt accumulated in the wax before relighting

To prevent soot, always follow proper burning guidelines and keep your candle clean and well-maintained.
