What’s the most effective method for cleaning out a used candle jar for reuse?

Freezer Method

  • Once your candle jar has completely cooled, place it in the freezer for 30 minutes to 4 hours.

  • Remove the jar and use a butter knife to gently loosen and pop out the leftover wax.

Melt & Pour Method

  • During your candle’s final burn, while the wax is still melted, carefully pour it onto a paper towel or other disposable surface (avoid plastic).

  • While the jar is still warm, wipe it clean with a paper towel.

Boiling Water Method

  • Pour boiling water into the jar, making sure it covers any leftover wax.

  • Let it sit for 4–5 hours. The wax will float to the top and harden, making it easy to lift out.
