What’s the best way to care for my Er’go candle?
Er’go candles have an average burn time of 50–60 hours when properly cared for. Follow these tips to get the most out of your Er’go candles :
- For the first burn, allow the candle to burn for 3–4 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edges of the vessel. This helps create an even wax pool and prevents tunneling.
- To preserve the fragrance and extend the life of your candle, avoid burning it for more than 4–5 hours at a time.
- Trim the wick to 1/8" before each use to prevent black smoke, residue, and uneven burning.
- Always remove any wick trimmings or debris before lighting.
- If needed, carefully recenter the wick while the candle is unlit and the wax is soft.
- Let the candle solidify completely before relighting.
- Burn on a flat, stable, and fire-resistant surface.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Discontinue use when less than 1/4" of wax remains in the tin.
- Avoid placing a hot candle on cold surfaces like marble or glass, as this may cause the container to crack.
